How did your first day of OctPoWriMo poetry writing go for you? Was it the first time you've written poetry in a while or do you usually write poetry, if not daily, often?

Day 2 Prompt - The Void
Possibilities:
As writers, and especially poetry writers, I believe we dive into the void on a regular basis to find the words, to gain perspective, to hibernate and more. How have you used the void? What does, "the void" mean to you?
Write for ten minutes exploring the void.
Suggested poetry type: Kyrielle
Word Prompts:
depleted
clear
barren
drained
open

open
Music for your Muse:
Remember, our prompts are only suggestions, where you find inspiration for your poetry is up to you.

DeleteHere is my poem for Day 2. It is one of my older poems. I hope that is okay. The majority that I share for this challenge will be new and probably last minute. :)

No rule against sharing older poems, we just hope you'll be inspired to write something new.

ReplyDeleteHere is my poem for Day 2
For some reason I cannot click on any link for other blogs in the comment section. None of them are active. So I do need to copy the link and enter into a new tab in my browser in order to get to the link. Is there a way to make the links active in the comments section? No big deal but it would facilitate visiting other blogs.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the links aren't active unless you put them in as code which I can't share in a comment or all you see is a link. So, tomorrow's post I will share the code so that you can have active links in the comments. This didn't use to be a problem, not sure why it is now.
DeleteI love stretching myself to try the suggested poetic form. https://stephseclecticinterests.wordpress.com/2016/10/02/the-void-between/
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to push the boundaries of our poetic abilities, glad you did.

DeleteI am so sorry Morgan. No problem at all. Just a suggestion. Surely it can be just as it is. I love this prompt poetry challenge. Please forget about the links, believe me it is no problem to continue as is.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, some will be able to use the info and it will make things faster. Either way it is alright. Never be afraid to ask for help or make suggestions, this is a community that loves to help.
