I can't believe we are in the last week of OctPoWriMo, it always goes by so fast. I hope you've enjoyed writing your poems this month and are stilling hanging in there to the end.
When I was growing up I extremely disliked the color red, not sure if the fact I had red hair had anything to do with it or not. It wasn't until a few years back that I started to enjoy red and now I love it. I completely embrace red! How about you? Love it? Hate it? Don't feel anything about it?
I have always enjoyed big red barns though, I think it is because my great grandparents lived/owned/worked on their ranch with a big red barn and farmhouse. I loved having family gatherings out there.
Here are a couple of other things that I love that are red;
Possibilities:
Free write for ten minutes about the color red and see what comes up for you. Childhood memories or...?
Suggested poetry type: Harrisham Rhyme

During OctPoWriMo, if you want to make sure that we know you have written something new, comment in that day's post with your link to your blog and/or share your link on Twitter with the hashtag, #OctPoWriMo.If you would like to leave an active link in the comments:
<a href = "your link">your title</a>
You have to put the link to your post (same link you would put in the comment section) in the, "your link" space within the quotations and the title to your post in the, your title, space.
Our link would look like this:
<a href="https://poetsonthepage.blogspot.com/">OctPoWriMo</a>
Once you hit publish on your comment it would look like this (only with the name of your post):
OctPoWriMo
I hope that helps. You don't have to do this, it is only if you would like to make your link an active link.
Remember to visit two or more OctPoWriMo participants and leave encouraging and supportive words along the way.

ReplyDeleteI took this in a different direction...
Red for me is about passion, love, dreams of being together forever, the bonds created in passion. So, true to my romantic nature, that's the direction I took.
