    1. Hi Annis! I've decided to write my poetry in my journal this year and focus the rest of my attention on the participants. I'm sure you are going to do just great! *Hugs*

  2. Are we supposed to write our poems based on the prompts you send or are the prompts for just in case we're stuck?

I'm game for trying this either way. :)

  3. Looking forward to trying the discipline of a poem a day for October. I did do a poem a day for April last year and managed to get through. It's good to have the motivation ...x

  5. I was wavering a bit but love the process of reflection and writing. Most of the time I'm writing fiction so it's a pleasure to be with everyone (and you, Annis, Marian, and Morgan) to write and share our poetry.

  12. I didn't know until OctPoWriMo until today, but I've been planning my own blog series connected with the hashtag #31poems for the month of October! I'll be sharing daily inspiration and motivation in the form of suggested exercises and prompts, and will include a poem I've written in response the prompts every day as well. How fun to find that you all here are doing something similar!

    1. No worries, you don't need experience to write poetry. As we like to say here, poetry is playing with your words until you breathe life into them. Glad to have you along for the journey!

  14. Do we have any kind of Facebook group so we can all communicate? I think it'd be awesome to be able to talk during the month and motivate each other! I'm so excited to start!

    1. I see you found it. Not sure why you weren't able to see it on the home page but that is where it is every night at midnight (or sometimes a few minutes later when I'm running late with it). Happy Writing!

  21. I am confused about where to put my poem links. Is participation closed? I just found this from your blog. I didn't relize I needed to " Sign up" by certain date! I have tried putting my blog links intomthe daily comments, but it won't take them. Maybe because I didn't sign up in time?

    1. Being on this link up shouldn't have anything to do with linking in comments of each days post. I'm sorry you've had trouble with it but I did see your link in today's comments. Thank you for keep trying.

  22. Morgan, I decided to go rogue and write about my collage process instead of poetry. I am trying to join my words with art. I hope the rest of OctoPoWriMo goes well for you and the rest of the crew :D
