Poetry Prompts Day 13 - OctPoWriMo 2016

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” ― Alan W. Watts

Change is usually difficult and you'd think by now I'd know that the best way to maneuver it would be to stop fighting the changes and just go with the flow, but it seems it is my life's mission to learn the hard way.

Day 13 Prompt: Flowing

Possibilities:

Where in your life do you need less struggle and more flow?

Show us a time when you allowed yourself to go with the flow.

Free write for ten minutes around one of the two sentences above or what flow/ing means to you.

Suggested poetry type: Monorhyme

Drawing and coloring help me feel in the flow.

Word Prompts:

slide
emanate
continuation
pressure
rhythm

Music for your Muse:

Remember, our prompts are only suggestions, where you find inspiration for your poetry is up to you.
During OctPoWriMo, if you want to make sure that we know you have written something new, comment in that day's post with your link to your blog and/or share your link on Twitter with the hashtag, #OctPoWriMo.
If you would like to leave an active link in the comments:

<a href = "your link">your title</a>

You have to put the link to your post (same link you would put in the comment section) in the, "your link" space within the quotations and the title to your post in the, your title, space.

Our link would look like this:

<a href="https://poetsonthepage.blogspot.com/">OctPoWriMo</a>

Once you hit publish on your comment it would look like this (only with the name of your post):

OctPoWriMo

I hope that helps. You don't have to do this, it is only if you would like to make your link an active link.

Remember to visit two or more OctPoWriMo participants and leave encouraging and supportive words along the way.

Peace,
Morgan Dragonwillow

  5. I'm not one to just lay back and take it, so to speak. I am horrible with change. I like to know what is going to happen, no surprises. I like the known over the unknown. I can't defend myself against what I don't know. My biggest struggle is trust and, I guess, this is because I don't know what a person might do to do me in. The wall is up.

Sorry to ramble there. Here is my post today...an example of when things didn't "flow" as desired:

    1. Yeah, I'm so not great with change anymore, I think I used to be a lot better at it. I think I'm right there with you in the trust issue. And you can ramble anytime! =)

    2. I'm sorry that you have trust issues, too. It is something so very easily broken, and nearly impossible to fix.

Thank you. I appreciate the ramble permission. :)
      Have a great weekend!
